intimus High Security Paper Shredders have been evaluated by the NSA and are listed on the NSA Evaluated Products List (NSA/CSS 02-01). They produce a particle size of only 0.8mm x 4.5mm which is 25% smaller than the NSA high security shredder requirement of 1mm x 5mm. This high security shredder particle size also meets the requirements for Security DIN Level P-7. All intimus NSA Listed Paper Shredders can be used to destroy all classified documents, including those Secret and Top Secret.

The 60 CP7 is designed for low-volume classified shredding in small office or departments. The 120 CP7 is designed for medium size offices or departments. Technically, there’s no such thing.
Many manufacturers claim to offer NSA APPROVED SHREDDERS. However, the NSA does not “approve” paper shredders, hence there is no such thing as an NSA APPROVED SHREDDER.
When most people talk about an NSA APPROVED SHREDDER, what they are really talking about is a paper shredder that produces a waste particle no larger than 1mm x 5mm and has been EVALUATED and LISTED by the NSA on the NSA/CSS (Central Security Service) 02-01 Evaluated Products List.
We offer a full range of shredders that produce a particle size of 0.8mm x 4.5mm (25% smaller than NSA requirements) and are NSA EVALUATED and LISTED, including all of the shredder shown above. These intimus NSA EVALUATED and LISTED Paper Shredders that also meet the requirements of DIN 66399 LEVEL P-7.
If you are not mandated to use an NSA Listed Paper Shredder you may still chose to use one for the added measure of security it delivers. However for most commercial enterprises an intimus CP4 Cross-cut shredder is sufficient and provides a more economical solution.
